About
I am drawn to work where integrity matters.
In universities and regulated institutions, decisions carry consequence. Academic outcomes must be fair. Processes must be consistent. Governance must be clear.
For more than twenty years across Higher and Further Education and regulated public-sector environments, I have worked within Academic Board and Quality Committee structures, contributed to policy development and revision, and supported reporting aligned to regulatory frameworks.
I understand how quickly ambiguity can introduce risk—particularly in areas affecting progression and awards.
Increasingly, this ambiguity is being shaped by new pressures. Artificial intelligence is beginning to influence how student work is produced, how assessment is approached, and how decisions are made. Existing frameworks are not always designed for this shift.
My work now focuses on helping institutions respond in a way that remains grounded—so that standards are upheld, processes remain consistent, and decisions can withstand scrutiny.
I have also led managers within high-accountability systems under scrutiny. In those settings, clarity is practical, not theoretical. Regulations must be applied consistently. Documentation must withstand challenge. Processes must support fairness.

How I Support Institutions
I work with institutions and leaders in three core areas:

Assessment & AI Review

A focused review of how AI is impacting assessment and where existing frameworks may need strengthening.

Academic Governance & Strategic Advisory

Support in navigating complex governance decisions where policy, regulation and institutional judgement intersect.

Leadership Conversations & Workshops

Structured sessions to support clear thinking and alignment in situations involving pressure, complexity, or change.

Who finds this work useful
Where the following must be held in balance:
You may find my support valuable if your work involves making or overseeing decisions where governance, policy, and judgement intersect.
This is often the case for people working in roles such as:
  • Academic registrars, governance or academic standards leaders responsible for ensuring institutional decisions remain consistent and defensible
  • Senior leaders or board members navigating complex situations where policy exists but interpretation is still required
  • Leaders responsible for assessment, quality or regulatory oversight where decisions must remain fair, consistent and capable of explanation
  • Organisations working in regulated environments where decisions must stand up to scrutiny over time.
In these environments, decisions rarely sit neatly within policy alone. They often require careful judgement about precedent, fairness and institutional responsibility. My frameworks are designed to support clear thinking in those situations.
Approach
Alongside governance leadership, I am an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) and CIPD Level 7 qualified.
This combination allows me to bring structured oversight and disciplined thinking when decisions are visible and consequential.
My work is grounded in practical frameworks that support clarity, consistency and sound judgement under pressure.
Current Focus
Alongside my advisory work, I am continuing to deepen my focus on artificial intelligence in higher education, including:
  • AI in Education (FutureLearn – university-led, certified)
  • AI in Personalised & Adaptive Learning (CPD)
  • AI Agentic Design Patterns (DeepLearning.AI)

This work supports my broader focus on how institutions can adapt governance, assessment, and quality frameworks in response to AI-enabled learning.

Academic Background :

  • BA (Hons) International Law with Languages – Sorbonne
  • MA Translation – Paris VIII

  • PGCE – London

My aim is simple: to support decisions that are clear, consistent and able to stand up to scrutiny.
